Yeah mixing the mic and DI is how I recorded and it blew the studio engineer away. He's been doing it over 20 years.

Ah cool, someone who uses two DNS0210's. That's what I am hoping to get, just for flexibility and ease of moving around.
However I'm in Canada and can't get my hands on the gear! For some reason they aren't replying to my emails. I will keep trying!!

We were discussing that on another post. I'll run an AKG kick drum mike close up, a 58 about 6 feet away and the DI. Really full sound.
