SNAGG Micro Chip In Every DNA Product
We’ve all heard the personal horror stories about players losing a favorite instrument, or having their entire stage rig stolen and their lives totally disrupted. That’s why we have protected all of our products with the SNAGG RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) Micro Chip.

Every product we make includes a SNAGG chip for easy recovery.
According to current statistics, the chances of recovery for non-equipped gear is a dismal 0.03%. For RFID chip-equipped products, the rate increases to over 35% - a 1200% improvement! One study shows an incredible 48% recovery rate. Other advantages to the chip are the secure, unalterable positive ID of a unit (transferable upon sale) and the prevention of piracy or knock-offs.
What this all means for you is that your DNA unit is far less attractive to thieves, and much easier to recover if stolen. All you have to do is register your SNAGG-equipped unit upon purchase.
As far as we know, we are the first company to offer this feature as standard on every product we produce. It’s just one more way we’re doing our best to look after your best interests. We hope you agree that it’s worth a few extra dollars to increase your chances of recovery of lost or stolen gear by several orders of magnitude.

RECOVERY PROCESS:
The owner of an instrument or other product protected by a SNAGG microchip files a police report and an officer and case number are assigned.
The owner notifies SNAGG and forwards the police report information. SNAGG releases a complete file on the instrument/product including photos (if provided by owner) to pawnshop associations, all second-hand recovery officers in every major city in the U.S. as well as posting a loss or theft alert on SNAGG.com.
When a suspected instrument is located, the police contacts SNAGG and SNAGG immediately sends a scanner (usually via overnight mail) to legally identify the instrument.
RFID identification technology is recognized as unalterable proof of ownership by the U.S. legal system and law enforcement agencies.
After ownership is verified, the instrument is then returned to the legal owner. Court appearance and costly travel are not required to release the instrument.
RECOVERY FACTS:
Recovery rates of musical instruments not protected by SNAGG are reported by law enforcement at 0.03%. SNAGG statistics from our web site database show an average recovery rate greater that 35%, or almost 1,200 times more! Since law enforcement officers are overworked they welcome and appreciate the SNAGG microchip system which makes the recovery process easier. Prior to SNAGG technology - which provides specific description and photos — recovery of lost or stolen instruments was virtually impossible.
Police reports filed without SNAGG only circulate within the city or, at best, the county of the filing. According to police associations, most musical instruments wind up far from the location where theft occurred. Stolen instruments are then re-sold in all impunity because there is no record of them being stolen at the location they end up being offered for sale.
SNAGG has a recovery rate vastly greater than any system ever devised. This fact is recognized by insurance companies across the United States and they offer discounts for musical instruments protected by SNAGG microchip technology.
Police second-hand recovery associations have requested speakers from SNAGG at their yearly conventions to explain the technology and recovery systems offered by the company.
