For 30-years bassist John Wakefield has become a staple in the Vermont and New England music scenes. The founder and bassist of New England’s longest running (and smoothest) tribute to yacht rock, The Full Cleveland, John keeps plenty busy bringing forgotten classics of the late 70s and early 80s to life. In his spare time he holds down the low end for Vermont’s funk juggernaut Funk Shui. And in his spare, spare time John occasionally contributes to keeping the spirit of the Grateful Dead alive with several ongoing local projects.
“I play a wide variety of music styles, with DNA I can always find the tone I’m looking for while still maintaining my own signature sound. I’m blown away by the quality and design that goes into both DNA heads and cabinets. I couldn’t be happier to part of the DNA family!”
