DNS-112C

Postby MarkL » Mon Jan 06, 2014 1:54 pm

Saw the post of FB and was wondering if this is just a new label for the 112n or a new version of the 112 cab? If so, what are the specs, etc?

I think the 'N' was the neo version. Neo prices have gone through the roof, and because of the cost, I think David has dropped the neo version.

Any idea on the weight? I assume it's more in the 40+ pound range now that it's ceramic. No info on the DNA website and nothing on the web that I can find on the DNS 112c specs.

Looking to pick up a pair of 112's and would like to know what's coming in 2014 from DNA.

Thanks in advance for any replies on this thread from DNA.

Thanks

Mark

I'm guessing you'd be in that ballpark in terms of weight.

Have not seen anything regarding the ceramic "N" replacement.

No updates on products in a long time. :(

Hi everyone. Sorry I have been scarce on the forum. David did move from neo to ceramic when neo prices skyrocketed. He does keep an eye on neo cost, and I will ask him for a comment - if neo's are likely to return in 2014. I do know he is happy with his replacement for the neo drivers from a performance standpoint.

If you have not seen the news on facebook, The Bass Club of Chicago will host an event on Saturday January 11th from 1pm-5pm. The DNA 1350 amplifier will be available to try out with DNA cabinets. The amps are pre-production units that David has approved for production. The design is new, components are top-notch, and not just some warmed over retread. Power, tone, driver control, tone shaping, and even the ultra-quiet idle surpass what David has done before.

Let's blow the snow and cold out of Chicago with some deep pumping bass.

With this event just around the corner, I'll report back with announcements.

Again, my question is because he posted the Bass Mag review on the DNA Facebook page. I saw the FB update regarding the DNS-112C and figured I'd try to find out the specs, cost, etc.

Since there is nothing on his website, no other info out on the web that I can find, and no specs in the Bass Mag article, this is the only other place I can get info.

Dang! I just saw the post or I would have been at the event. It is awesome to see that the amps are still coming. I was getting worried. I have had the money saved a few times, but each few months when they hadn't materialized, spent it. I guess I can start saving again.

Jeff, Thanks for the heads up on the new amps.
You wouldn't happen to know a ballpark date of when David is planning to get these amps out there in production and into the hands to retailers? Within the next few months?

Hi everyone. Unofficially, the amp is ready to be pre-ordered through dealers now. The production cycle probably means several months forward. Not sure what that means for Australia. Believe me, you will want to try this one out.
