First gig with the 2x10

Postby grimjim » Fri Jun 15, 2018 5:44 pm

I have been downsizing my rig. I got tired of always having to ask for help.

I got a 2x10 a while ago but just used it last night. I have 2-4x10s at the rehearsal spot and keep the 2x10 at home so I don’t have to carry a cab down three flights of stairs.

It was simply amazing, the amount of sound that came out of that little cab.

Lots of compliments from audience members and even the sound guy.

Every report I've heard on the 210 has said that same thing. They often say it's as loud as any other company's 410 and clearer than anything they've heard.

I have the 410 myself and it's just monster as you know. One gig I play every week is hosting an open mic at a microbrewery. It's a small place and they insist I use the 112 combo they have on stage. I'm thinking about getting a DNS-112 and using that instead. You should have seen them the first time I arrived and brought my DNS-410 in. They about had apoplexy and insisted I use the 112 combo. So, I used it then and still use it. Can get a decent sound out of it and running the master at 2 o'clock I can keep up pretty well with the rest of the group, but it's just not the same. Perhaps I should get a DNS-112 for there???...G.A.S. strikes again!!

You know Armin, the whole reason I got the DNS410 was because David didn't make and wasn't going to make a 212, and I couldn't afford to get two of the 112's. the 410 is really all I need to play anywhere. Getting a DNS112 isn't really a need more of a "want". And, once I have one, then the second one comes into reach a reasonable time later.
