Need advice

Postby grimjim » Wed Jan 31, 2018 9:32 pm

Okay, it's income tax time and I NEED more gear.

My question, I want to buy two more cabinets and cant decide. It's a choice between another 4x10 for practice and a 2x10 to take to gigs, or two 2x10's to take to gigs. And no, I can't afford all three.

I have been hauling my 4x10 to gigs and want to be more portable, but I like the sound of four tens, so I'm thinking the 2- 2x10's, but I want another 4x10 for practice too. I'm stuck.

Right now I'm leaning toward getting the 4x10 and one 2x10 and getting another 2x10 sometime in the future. But that limits my portablilty. Is one 2x10 enough? I'm running the 1350.

You want the 410 and it wants you too! Its the ultimate, world domination cabinet. 2 of them together would be epic.
DNA 1350 and 410-4: Why settle for really good tone when you can have the best?

I also have the 410 and it is a "world domination cabinet". Two of them would be downright SCARY!...it's good to be scary!

Okay, just ordered another 4x10 and a 2x10. I'm gonna have to order the other 2x10 later on.

Things are gonna get interesting.

If you hear a low rumble coming from the east, it's just me. lol

I wanted tw0 2x10 cabs to take to gigs, but we don't have any lined up yet, and since we're gonna start recording soon, I went with the extra 4x10 so I'll have 8x10's for the recording.

I really need to sell off some gear.....

Nice.
I would have gone with 2x 210 cabs.
Or 2x 112 cabs.

Believe me, I put a lot of thought into it. We are doing preproduction now for our next album so I wanted to get my rig all set to record. Plus I am downsizing my travel rig, that's why I looked into DNA in the first place. I used to haul around three hundred pounds of Ampeg stuff.
