What I've heard David is not really a forum guy. He prefers tinkering.

Thanks for all the kind words, all y'all! They are very much appreciated. I've got to admit that it's going to be very weird to not be so fully involved with David's work... what with everything we've done together.

But, as others have pointed out, I've got a lot of things going on, and I really had to take a hard look at where my times was being spent, figure out how to give everything the attention it deserved. At this point, my responsibilities with DNA require far too much time for me to be able to do a good job for the company. Far better to step aside and make room for someone who can focus full-time on the areas I've been overseeing.

I will still drop in here as often as I can, and I will still be talking with David. However, I will no longer be the Official Spokesperson for the brand.

My very best wishes to all of you, and to DNA. If you want to keep tabs on everything I'm doing, feel free to check my web sites. I have a blog on Lane on Bass, and will post regular lesson content on Bass Lessons HQ. I've also set up Facebook Fan pages for LaneOnBass, BassLessonsHQ, and ManlyKitchen (my new cooking project). In addition, we have RyanPeltonFans if you want to watch that one.

Forever and ever....
Keep Thumpin'!

Dang, Lane. I'm really happy for you, but really sad at the same time. You're the greatest brand rep that anyone could ever have, so enthusiastic about it, knowledgeable and helpful in helping the artists find the right gear for their situation.

It really is sad to see you go. Is there already a successor to your spot? Who should we contact when our ears and credit card decide that we need another DNA product?

(If your spot is open, is there an application to fill out? )

It's really comforting knowing that you'll still be around and part of the DNA using family. I wish you absolutely the best at living the dream that every musician hopes to achieve. You certainly have, my friend.

Where shall the cook be, if not in the kitchen?
A bass player's place is on stage next to the drummer.
Good decision, Lane! Good luck with the band and
pay a LOT of taxes...

I'm sure Lane and Elvis got some things in common, but I can not see the link between the picture and Lane playing bass in his band? :(

Armin is right... Ryan Pelton is one of the world's top Elvis Tribute Artists. So... you could say that I'm a Jerry Scheff tribute artist! LOL

Aw, bro... that's so nice. thanks so much!

As for new CD, I'm in pre-production now, but recording will depend on tour schedule.

I've got a long list of celebrities that have agreed to record with me, so it's going to be a BLAST!

I've also got more than thirty new tunes from which to choose, as well as several old ones I wrote many years ago.

The other cool thing is that, this time around, I'll be using the bass as a lead instrument... like a Blues guitar, only lower. I'm REALLY looking forward to that!

Again, thanks so much. You are FAR too kind...
