Lane Leaves DNA

Postby Spydah » Mon Apr 18, 2011 11:12 pm

This announcement was just posted in the DNA news site.

http://dnaamps.com/blog/news/company/lane-baldwins-departure/

Lane has not told me if he will be actively participating in the forums, but I would presume he'll stop by from time to time to say hi to you all.

I'm very bummed to hear this. It's understandable of course with all the touring he'll be doing, but still a bummer he won't be with DNA any longer. :( :( :(

A sad, but also wise decision.
It'll be one of his greatest contributions to DNA and to himself, if he does what he wants, and on top of that makes reference to DNA with his rig!

I can see him touring with his single twelve on stage, and the band members going like "Oh no", until he turns on the amp :D

Good promotion is about the only thing DNA needs to sustain itself!
And someone promoting the brand on tours might be just that!

Good news and sad news all at the same time.
I wish Lane all the best for the future and wish David all the best with his Company.
Now give me some good news on amps :D
Waiting for a new Amp , it's going to be soooo worth the wait !

I am sad to see Lane leave DNA. He has always proven himself to be an effective and passionate spokesperson for whatever cause he has been involved with, whether it be Eden, TMBG, Low Notes for Nashville or DNA. I have especially appreciated the priority he has always placed on advocacy for users - sometimes being the only voice to be heard in the "wilderness". ;)

He is obviously going to be immensely busy with the Ryan Pelton tour and I wish him all success with that. With his talent and enthusiasm, I'm sure that while performing with Ryan, he will continue to be an outstanding representative of all things quality in the bass world.

Hope you will still find time to drop in Lane. All the best, man.

Bye bye Lane. All the best. Really sorry to hear that.

But I got a question:
Who handles the forum now?
Takes care of questions, news, t-shirts?

Wow. I can't believe it. April Fool's day was over two weeks ago, so this must be real.

I wonder who the new DNA rep will be. It should be someone who is at least a decent player, does a fair amount of shows with a DNA rig and is great looking. Wait! That would be me!

Seriously, though, I wonder who will take his place. Lane was awesome, so it will be some big shoes to fill.

Strange, because Lane finally got here on board, we've known him for years on the Eden forum, finally jumped here, and he's gone again!

Where are 'the good old days'? :)

Yeah, agreed. Lane is the guy who hooked me up with Eden, then with DNA. I'm at least glad he's still sticking with the brand. (I completely understand why he left Eden, after U.S. Music screwed it up.)

I was kinda getting the feeling he was getting really busy with touring. I hope all works out great for him. I wonder if we'll be getting a new rep any time soon. Heck, I'd be really happy to be able to talk directly to 'The Founder' when I order my next cab......or head. 8-) (I've wanted to be able to talk to that guy for years.)
