That is really cool! I don't have Facebook, but the link let me at least see it.
I wonder if we are starting a new trend, though.... As I see your picture, I noticed that we are both long-haired, bearded bass players who are playing both Fender basses and DNA amps. 8)
Please excuse me while I go order a set of ghs strings. Haha. I actually would like to give a set of those a shot. I haven't played their stuff in a while.

DNA 1350 and 410-4: Why settle for really good tone when you can have the best?

Yes, all the cool kids are doing it.
You playing 5 strings as well?
For sure check them out. I always played boomers on my four strings and developed a custom set for my detuned 5 strings. I'm tuned to A and the gauges are 45, 65, 85, 110 and 130.
Re: Facebook surprise
Yeah. My favorite bass is my old Fender Jazz 5 string. If anything ever happened to it, I'd probably quit playing.
I used to have a couple 6 stringers but didn't use the high C enough to warrant suffering through the size of the necks on them.

I tried the six string thing too. Felt the same way.
Re: Facebook surprise
Very cool, Jim. A well deserved shoutout. Belated congras!
