NEW SITE: BassLessonsHQ

Postby LaneOnBass » Mon Feb 07, 2011 12:36 pm

Hey, all y'all! Just a quick note to let you know that my new bass guitar learning site is up and running.

Bass Lessons HQ

This will now be my main learning site, and will feature written and video lessons. Much of the content will be for players new to the instrument, but will also include intermediate lessons.

In addition, content will be provided by DNA endorsing artists Roy Vogt and Sean O'Bryan Smith. I will also be inviting other bass educators to provide content.

Please poke around and check it out. Then, come back here and tell me what you think... and how I can make it more useful to you.

Thanks!
Keep Thumpin'!

Congrats, Lane!

Looks good.

I especially liked the brief view of the "Blah, blah, blah blah blah, text that could be replaced with real words" when I first clicked the "About this Site" link. ;)

That's gone now and replaced with real words. Guess that page got updated between the time I clicked it the first time and a few minutes later.

Nice to have all the material you've produced in one spot.

You still have any official affiliation with Roy's TMBG? More from you was one of the top requests from members over there. :D

Hey, TobiasMan, and thanks for the feedback. Yeah, there are still a couple pages that need to be fleshed out. I had my schedule pushed up by a month... you'll see why later today, hopefully.

And while I'm no longer actually working with TMBG, I'm still associated with them in several ways. It REALLY blew my mind that folks wanted more content from me over at Thunder Row. I've already told them they can reprint any of my current content, and that they can use new content as it becomes available. Anything I can do to help Roy...

Popularity at TMBG?

Must be that unique "style" ya got, man ;)

Or maybe just that your views are well respected.

TobiasMan, I missed that last reply when you posted it, and I apologize. That was very kind of you, bro... thank you.

I've been adding more content to the site lately. Just uploaded two lessons on Cm pentatonic scale, and have two on Dm coming soon. I will complete the series in all keys, then I'm going to dive into the "extra" notes.

At the same time, I am working on major scale in all keys.

My plan is to get far enough ahead that I can post 4 or more lessons a week for the rest of the year, as well as some gear reviews and such. We'll see how that goes.

By the way, if any of you are on Facebook, please feel free to LIKE the BassLessonsHQ Fan Page
