Three Times Love

October 2nd we will do a great show at a great hall doing the music of three giants: Elvis Presley, Tom Jones and Frank Sinatra. Our very own Stefan Wikström does the Elvis thing, a guy called Magnus Bäcklund sings the TJ stuff and Robert Haglund takes care of "My Way".

The band will be a 19 piece band with brass section and backing vocals. Take a look at the pics from Louis de Geer Concert & Congress Hall here in Norrkoping. A really remarkable hall; once a paper plant. Some 1300 seats. We do not know yet if it will be one show or more, the tickets are just released.

I've played there before in a 90 (!) piece band situation. (No - don't ask!) Nice room, a bit tricky acoustically, since the place is built for a symphony orchestra. I believe small single woofer cabs en masse at low volume will do the job, bass-ically speaking...

Lane, it is like when we remember our childhood: every day was a sunny day OR a day with a LOT of snow. All "in between" days are erased from the memory. The same with gigs: all those 1007 in a dozen aren't remembered, just the really good ones and the most disastrous. We do have some really nice concert halls in the area, that's a fact. At LdG there are three magnificent halls, and in a radius of 200 meters from LdG there are at least two - three other nice stages to play on, everything from jazz club to theater.

Playing on those stages, well, that's life being a "back up furniture"...
