The annual Elvis/Dolly gig...

Postby bassmayhem » Mon Jul 26, 2010 5:21 pm

at Pub Sumpen (sump = a sort of cage to catch fish in...) in Tyrislöt, Sweden, at the end of the road, then the archipelago, then the Baltic sea and then ol' Russia. Wednesday July the 28 in the beautiful evening...

We do the annual Elvis/Dolly gig in nice environments, with nice people and good food. The stage and the dance floor is just behind the big barn in the center of the pic. You can actually see the end of the road...

We had a great rehearsal earlier today just to fresh up the memory. It sounded really good. I've fallen in love with my black Fender Precision, so I'll bring her this time, no EUB.

I miss my old P Bass , the one Keeper out of the many I should have kept.
No EUB , you must really be in love with that P.

I remember that photo. Looks like a place the blokes from Top Gear would drive/ride/fly to.

Well, the strings match my somewhat hippie-ish look on this pic...

Lo and behold! Pic = proof!
HP on drums, yours truly on bass, PJ on guitar(s) and Jacob on keys and vocals. (Note Jacob's customized Nord Stage piano with Jacob label instead of Nord...)

Are the pink strings DR's by chance? I run pink DR's on my green Spector. They do make for great conversation piece.

I think DRs are the only pink strings out there, unless you want to dye them yourself. ;)
