Yet again even more church gigs...

Tell everyone where you're playing. You never know who will show up.

Yet again even more church gigs...

Postby bassmayhem » Sat Jun 12, 2010 5:05 am

Mayhem seems to be starting a career in the church music biz...

First a duo gig with my girlfriend Maria, who sings her own songs, as well as some famous material "fit for the sacred room". The 8th of July at Gusums Kyrka, Sweden.

Gusums kyrka, really beautiful...

Second: a gig at Styrstads Kyrka the 19th of August with Maria and my long time companion P.J. Hårdänge on guitars. We do everything from Maria's songs to jazz and blues standards on bass/guitar duo.

Styrstads kyrka, also beautiful...

Also some profane gigs outside the sacred room: a lot of Elvis shows with the local king Stefan Wikström, some Eva Cassidy tribute gigs and the annual midsummer "dance-around-the-pole" gig at mid day with the old blokes playing squeeze boxes while "the peasantry" do the dancing. That occurs in Kolmården. Nice event, GOOOD coffee...

Stefan Wikström and Lotta Källström from last summer's Elvis/Dolly gig at Pub Sumpen, Sweden...

The best coffee there is...

Of course, you are welcome if you are "in der Nähe"...

Couple of questions for you Roger.....

1.) Is that a spring creek running in front of the church and does it have trout in it?

2.) How do I get some of that coffee??

Of course JBM is THE coffee, but it costs THE heap of money. Not for an addict or bums like most of us...
