Yet another church gig...

Postby bassmayhem » Sat May 29, 2010 3:51 am

This time in the church of Styrstad, ouside Norrkoping, Sweden. A nice, quiet and peaceful place in the middle of nowhere. Just me, my long time six string companion PJ Hårdänge, the church musician and a great choir. Sunday June 6th, just so you know. I think I'll bring the EUB this time...

'Psolutely!
You won't need any digital reverb...
Here is another of my favourites: Kolmårdskyrkan, situated in the biggest (greatest) zoo in Europe. I've played there several times...

Gig is done in beautiful summer weather. We played everything from Georg Friedrich Händel (Mayhem goes baroque...) to Salem Al Fakir, who is a marvellous young guy from Stockholm, who writes very fine music. (Check this link from "Allsång på Skansen" - a TV show with live only music at prime time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tuE-lxrWwE ) We played "Good song" with piano, EUB (the whole gig), guitar and violin as instrumentation. Check Salem Al Fakir! That's an order! The choir sang beautiful and good all through the gig. We also got some really good Swedish coffee. (You're welcome for a cup or two when you're around, Jeff... :D )
