The Low Notes For Nashville Benefit Concert

Postby LaneOnBass » Thu May 27, 2010 8:42 am

Thursday, June 17, 2010
@Douglas Corner (2106 8th Ave. South, Nashville)
Time: 8-?

This is a bass-centric concert to raise funds for flood relief. Featuring at least a dozen bassists, including the phenomenal Steve Bailey headlining... and a Very Wonderful special guest.

The concert will be videotaped by in HD by a 3-camera crew.

I'll be MC-ing the event, and Deeper Blues will perform.

Hey, y'all, and thanks for the comments. I can't *promise anything... but we're having the entire concert taped by a 3-camera crew in HD. We do *hope to produce a DVD of the concert, and possibly a live CD. There will be a LOT of paperwork to get done... will need permission from each artist, etc.

At the very least we should get some REALLY good You Tube clips!

Have y'all checked the Low Notes For Nashville site lately?

Headliner for the concert will be Steve Bailey.

An un-named, although highly credible inside source says there will be a V-ery W-onderful special guest star as well.

Then there's the OTHER dozen bassists... including a good friend - Mahlon Hawk - who is flying in from AZ ... JUST for the concert.

Also, if all goes well, we'll have Low Notes T-shirts and other stuff for sale to help the cause. We may also have a raffle or auction or two. (Still working on that.)

I'm also trying to find out if we can hook up a U-stream video link.

Wow, sounds like a star studded event. Sign me up for a DVD!

Any chance for an official-ish podcast/simulcast/youTube of the event?
