Howdy y'all!

Postby rinos88 » Sat Sep 15, 2012 9:04 pm

It has been a while since I have checked in. Things have been CRAZY busy for me lately.

1. I got a new and AWESOME job.
2. Did some recording with my band, using my DNA cab, which sounds incredible.
3. Bought a repo house that needed some work, but got it at a killer low price.
4. Sold our tiny little mobile home, then had to move out before our house was ready.
5. Been living in a tent for nearly the past month, with all of our stuff in storage, due to the closing on our house being pushed back. Now that it is done, we are having the house fixed and getting ready to move in.

So, with all of the craziness coming to an end, I'll have some video and audio clips coming soon, using the cab.

I'm still very (im)patiently waiting for the new amp. :D

Wow,
that sounds like a very bumpy ride.
Glad you made it alive.

Can't wait to see and hear some material.

More news about the amp and other stuff will come soon.
The team works hard on the webpage.

Did I mention that cab covers are available now?

Thanks, man. Definitely a bumpy ride for sure. So many snags and inconveniences with this house deal, but it is nearly done.

I may just need to get one of those covers.....and some wheels.

I'm guessing our great Founder has his little elves busy, building us our amps, hopefully by Christmas? That would be awesome.

Good Lord! What a crazy few weeks. Still living in the tent......even though we own the house.

There was so much more wrong beneath the surface than we ever imagined. We thought it needed just paint, carpet and cabinets.

When they turned the water on, it spewed from every pipe and outlet. The entire plumbing had to be redone. Then, one spot where the wall had a hole in it turned out to be much more of a problem than we thought. Upon trying to replace that one section, our contractor (my uncle) noticed that there was mold in the insulation behind the hole. Trying to fix the leak in the window above the hole and fix the insulation, he realized that the mold stretched across the entire wall. So, that wall had to be pretty much ripped apart and redone, window reframed, new insulation, then to make matters worse, there were bare electrical wires behind the moldy insulation.

Whoever did it before had no idea how to wire. It was a firebomb waiting to happen.

So....one more week in the tent and we should have the place ready to move in. Then I can get back to my musical life.

What I think I may do after getting moved in is to take my DNS410-4 home, run my 1500 watt amp into it, pound out my low B string a few times and check for weak spots in the foundation. :D

Be careful, you could also produce some weak spots
