Carpet for me. Valuable stuff doesn't slide off the cab quite as easily when the guitard bumps things when he's actin' out.
Feel that bottom, eh?

My opinion is that the stronger cones (using less paper and more ..hemp or whatever the name of the product was) have more power but sound less warm like paper.
Just a though, I haven't heard them play though..

But having a carpet covering could warm out the sound a bit.

I really liked the first cellulose cabinets of Eden. The later plywood cabs could handle more power and sounded louder, but I didn't like their sound very much because of a lot of ... mids?... (hard to describe, some mid frequency in the cab resonating more).

carpet also sits better if you don't plan on taking a seat with you onstage, and want to sit :)

Oh, well. That's a nonstarter for me.

Sorry to hear that, bro... but we went with the majority opinion. Perhaps later you'll prefer the epoxy (duracoat) finish...although I have NO idea if/when we may offer it.

So, I'm guessing Astro Turf would not be an option right now?

Is the carpet on the cabs black or gray? It's kinda hard to tell on my computer.

The covering is a vey tight black material...seems to be a denser composition than the mouse fur you've seen elsewhere.

As for that rhino liner stuff - fahgettaboutit. The prototypes were finished that way and scraped the heck out of my shins when wearing shorts this summer, and scraped up the rubber bed liner in our station wagon. Imagine what it would do to auto upholstery if you carried cabs in the back seat. A softer material might not be tough as nails, and therefore moot.

I'm glad that the carpet won. Maybe it's just my ear, but carpet covered cabs just seem to have more warmth.
