Re: One semi-parametric control please

Hey Jim, Try the La Bella Deep Talking Bass Tape Wound flats. I switched to them last year after playing round wounds for the previous 33-years. They sound great and have the best balanced sound across strings I've used. Prior to this I used Dean Markley Blue Steel for many years and then DR Black B...

Re: One semi-parametric control please

Thanks Jim. What I found works best for me using my passive MIA Fender Jazz with my Eden amps is to run everything flat but to boost the low-mids @250Hz. It really makes a big difference. You get a nice thump in the chest from it and that boost adds so much definition to the bass in the mix. As I me...

One semi-parametric control please

I don't yet have either the DNA-800, or the DNA-1350, though I would certainly like to have one of either of them. I know David went with the simplified EQ on them opting for bass, low-mids, high-mids, and treble. I have a WTDI that I use whenever I have to play through a provided backline and I lik...

Re: 2 X DNS112 + DNS110

SWEET! I'm guessing those are all 8 ohm cabs? David had said that the DNA amps could go down to 2 ohms but he doesn't prefer to run them that way. I'd say you put it to a pretty good test running your DNA800 down to 2.67 ohms with that set up. That's definitely a nice DNA stack!

Re: DNA tone settings

Sorry firebass6, I just don't know. Armin is the moderator here and he may have more info on it or may be able to get more info directly from David, but I just don't know.

Re: DNA tone settings

That high pass filter is used a lot in studios and some amps even have an adjustable one built in. The idea with it is that you can clean up and make a tighter bottom end by preventing those really low frequencies that just add rumble from being reproduced. It can also be used to keep the fundamenta...
