Re: 2 X DNS112 + DNS110

Update: I sold the DNS110 and purchased a DNS115. The 800 head and 115 are working great as a club rig for our vintage rock trio where two 112s would be overkill.

Re: Can I hide here?

Hi Paul. I was offline for a few years and just got back to see some familiar names. David has launched DNA into higher orbit around the Eden gear, as good as that is.

All good choices. For now I'm settled in with DR Legend Flatwounds. But my tastes change depending on the project!

Re: One semi-parametric control please

That is a useful idea. I can relate to those drum-head stages, which taught me to think of cutting first.

I've also been seeking out string sets that have good volume balance from string to string, so that the bass itself is not boosting lows or too thin on top.

Re: One semi-parametric control please

Interesting idea. The IEM personal mixer I use at church has one parametric on the Mid control, and I do use it.

With David's 800 head, the four EQ controls are very sensitive. FWIW, sometimes I experiment with cutting the Low Mid or the Bass control to bring out more of the adjacent frequencies.

Re: 2 X DNS112 + DNS110

Yes, they're all 8 ohms. By moving more air I could run the master volume lower than when I just use the two 112's. The amp did not get warm, so I could run this in a pinch - outdoors for example.

2 X DNS112 + DNS110

Hey everyone. After five years of being tethered to IEM's, an opportunity came up to use my DNA rig with a vintage rock trio. We're having a blast getting four sets together and the DNA 800 + 2 112's does the job well. For fun, I added this DNS 110 at rehearsal and the 800 handled the load without a...
