DNS-112n started rattling!

DNA team, I just looked into an issue. I thought the cab was causing other nearby items to rattle at high volumes due to it's awesome-ness, but in looking for the source of the rattle, I found it was the flared port partially dislodged from the cabinet. Re-gluing the port to the cabinet easily fixed...

Re: Amp head vs. preamp/poweramp

I've been using a Crown XLS1500 with my SansAmp pedal as the preamp, but recently upgraded to a BBE BMax preamp. The clarity and punch are unbelievable through my DNS410. I have enough low end punch to level a small country with this rig. It's super tight and has so many layers of cool overtones th...

Re: Single DNS-112N

Well, I just tried the DNS112N cab with the band for a rehearsal. I sat it right next to the 810RP cab and hooked it up to the 2nd channel on the WT800. Comparison was made by turning the balance knob to switch between the 810 and 122 cabs. I can say the 112 cab is simply amazing. Again, comparing a...

Re: Single DNS-112N

Hmm, yes, you probably will want 2x DNS-112N cabs for your sound. The micro cabs seem to have more cut and punch, which is not really what you're looking for for that style of music! I'd only get 3xDNS112N cabs for the same production of fundamentals and vibes (with a focus on feeling the bass rath...

Re: Single DNS-112N

I normally push the 810RP to 25%-50%. PA support is good with a couple of 18" subs and the venue holds about 600, so this is really a tone shoot out. The bass amp sits about 15 feet from the front row. My intention for the DNS112N cab is for gigs outside of my normal venue which has the 810RP, ...

Re: Single DNS-112N

Thanks Jeff. It's great to be a member of the club!! :D Man oh man did this thing open up after break in! I plugged it into my home theatre subwoofer channel during the day and watched a bunch of shows/movies, and during the night and/or when I wasn't home ran a tone generator through it at 15 Hz (b...

Re: Single DNS-112N

I've been playing through a D210XLT for the past 15 years and D810RP for the past 3. Well, I just sold the D210XLT to a friend who needed a cab, and the D810RP+WT800 was sold to the church I play at. Technically, I still gig with it but don't have to transport it. (that's probably the sweetest deal....
