Lane Baldwin in No Treble’s Player Spotlight

We’re thrilled that long-term endorsing artist Lane Baldwin (aka Lane on Bass) is this week’s Player Spotlight over on No Treble, one the Net’s most comprehensive bass-centric webzines. The veteran bassist and close friend to DNA is currently preparing for an eight week tour with Ryan Pelton, in support of not one, but three CDs released this summer, including Ryan’s first all-original venture. The tour will cover Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Nevada and Washington. This year, Lane has been carrying a pair of DNS-112N cabinets, although he only uses one at a time. “Those little babies are so powerful and clear that I only need one on stage,” the veteran bassist says. “The DNS-112N is the best small cabinet I’ve ever used.”Check out the Player Spotlight. Visit Lane’s web site.

David Nordschow Amplification Launches New Line of Bass Speaker Cabinets

Performance showcase at Music Garage in Chicago to include next-generation speaker designs from industry pioneer

May 9, 2011 – Chicago, IL – David Nordschow Amplification (DNA) today announced the official launch of its speakers designed for bass guitars and double bass instruments. The full product line will be presented in a musician showcase at the Music Garage in Chicago, Illinois on May 21, 2011.

DNA was formed in 2010 by one of the most highly regarded designers of bass amplification systems, David Nordschow (known to many musicians as David Eden). During the past year, new DNA speakers and cabinets have gone from design to production and into the hands of well known bass players including Mike Watt, Roy Vogt, Abe White, Maurice Fitzgerald and others.

The current product line consists of six models ranging from the DNS-112N/Micro to the DNS-410, each designed to provide bass musicians with the ultimate tone, power and usability. All models will be on display and available for ‘test drives’ and ‘live performances’ in studios at the Music Garage located at 345 N. Loomis St, Chicago, IL.

“There is no better way for a bass player to understand the capabilities of my new bass amplification systems then to take them for a test drive in a professional sound studio,” said David Nordschow, Founder and President of David Nordschow Amplification (DNA). “Many musicians know my name and the products I have brought to market during the past 30 years. I look forward to once again taking the bass amplification market from the status quo to the next generation of tone and usability.”

DNA products will be available for demonstrations and purchase at the Music Garage in Chicago. The mission of the Music Garage is to provide musicians with the facilities, tools, and information they need to achieve their goals. The events on May 21 will offer attendees several ways to experience the DNA products: demonstrations by current endorsees including Roy Vogt and Maurice Fitzgerald, a ‘test drive’ studio and a ‘plug in and play’ stage.  Players can sign up to jam with the house band, choosing from a variety of music styles – including jazz, rock, and blues.  The live music stage will give attendees the opportunity to experience and connect with the DNA tone.

There will be special offers for attendees who order equipment on the day of the event with deliveries ranging from 2 to 4 weeks. To register for the DNA showcase and product launch, register for the event on Facebook (www.facebook.com/dnaamps) or send an email to david@dnaamps.com.
